At Penny Jar, we often say that as early-stage investors, “It’s all about the people.” As founders ourselves, we apply that same philosophy to Penny Jar as we grow, and are thrilled to announce Nia Pryce as Chief of Staff. Nia brings a commitment to connecting people, building scalable systems, and driving measurable impact across venture capital and startup ecosystems. As Chief of Staff, Nia will lead strategic operations and ecosystem initiatives to strengthen our collective impact for founders, investors, and partners.

Before joining Penny Jar Capital, Nia spent three years at Forum Ventures, an early-stage venture firm investing in B2B SaaS founders. At Forum, she built the company’s founder engagement engine from the ground up—scaling from zero to more than 70 founder-facing events annually—creating a cornerstone for deal flow. Nia also helped scale Forum’s investor community by implementing systems to streamline portfolio, pipeline, and investor data, providing real-time visibility into founder and investor activity.

Before venture capital, Nia worked at The Growcer Inc., an agricultural technology start-up, where she led marketing and community development. From supporting the company’s appearance on Dragon’s Den, the Canadian equivalent of Shark Tank, to supporting the team on their journey to raise capital, Nia has first-hand experience of what founders need as they build and grow their business. During her time at The Growcer Inc., she led marketing and community partnerships across 30 projects in Canada and helped scale the company’s team from 8 to 35+ employees.

At Penny Jar Capital, Nia will help architect the systems and programs that power our next chapter—ensuring every founder, investor, and member of the Collective experiences the excellence and clarity that define Penny Jar’s approach to venture. Please join us in welcoming Nia to the team!
